history
Eva Nabatanzi and community leaders founded Grace Daycare and Orphanage to provide proper education and care to orphans in the village. When Eva succumbed to AIDS, her sister Liz Mukiibi felt compelled to take up Eva’s mission as Grace’s Director. With this difficult transition, Grace almost closed. Raising the Village has been working with Grace to build living quarters and school facilities, improving programs and developing a long-term plan for sustainability.
