Job Description

As a PEAL Planning Officer – Expansion, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and facilitating strategic planning activities within the PEAL team. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing plans to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of PEAL programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with the Senior PEAL Officer – Expansion in formulating and executing strategic plans for PEAL programs.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in strategic planning activities, both quarterly and annually.

 

Expansion Support:

  • Work closely to support the expansion strategy by providing planning expertise.
  • Assist in designing and submitting short-term and long-term expansion plans for approval.

 

Data Management and Analysis:

  • Utilize applied statistics and data management skills to contribute to planning and decision-making processes.
  • Employ software tools like Alteryx, ArcGIS, STATA, Survey CTO, Excel, and GIS platforms to enhance data-driven planning.

 

Innovation and Creativity:

  • Collaborate with the PEAL team to develop and implement innovative solutions to improve planning processes and implementation.
  • Contribute to the development of analytical models, tools, roadmaps, and manuals to support planning initiatives.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Assist in coordinating with government entities, local leadership, and other development partners to facilitate program sustainability.
  • Participate in engaging local leaders and key influencers in planning and implementation processes.

 

Programmatic Expansion

  • Support the Senior PEAL Officer – Expansion in leading programmatic expansion efforts.
  • Collaborate in identifying and engaging potential partner communities, ensuring comprehensive stakeholder
    engagement.

 

Reporting and Tracking:

  • Work with the Senior PEAL Officer – Expansion to ensure accurate and timely reporting of planning activities.
  • Contribute to tracking and monitoring program results aligned with organizational goals.

 

Leadership and Coordination:

  • Provide support in leading the PEAL Planning Team.
  • Collaborate with other team members to organize workload effectively and prioritize tasks.

 

Other Duties:

  • Undertake additional responsibilities as requested by the Senior PEAL Officer – Expansion, Team Leader, or
    Management.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Quantitative Economics, Business Computing, Mathematics, Population Studies, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in applied data management.
  • Post-graduate qualification in M&E or a related field is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in using software tools like Alteryx, ArcGIS, STATA, Survey CTO, Excel, and GIS platforms.
  • Previous experience in hard-to-reach areas is an added advantage.
  • Strong facilitation and leadership skills.
  • As a PEAL Planning Officer – Expansion, you will play a vital role in contributing to the overall success and efficiency of PEAL programs and initiatives.
