Shawn’s passion to open up the space and opportunities for families marginalized by time and place takes action in Uganda where he founded Raising The Village.

RTV serves last-mile villages in remote areas of Uganda by supporting community designed initiatives which graduates communiti8es into the ‘base of the economic pyramid’. Serving as a catalyst for public and civic action, partnerships leverage existing resources and a small one-time investment to increase household incomes, facilitate broad civic engagement, and accelerate the socio-economic development of the village and surrounding region.

Prior to founding Raising The Village, Shawn held the role as a management consultant with Accenture advising clients in financial, logistics, and public sectors. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University and a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
